The Office of the Brazilian Air Attaché at the Embassy of Brazil, Washington, DC, was created in June 1941 by the Air Attaché Colonel Armando de Sousa e Melo ARARIBOIA. Later, the Office also became a diplomatic representation of the Ministry of Defense of Brazil, adopting the name Office of the Brazilian Defense and Air Attaché.
